Sydney Day 1

Good morning Sydney! Our day began with us setting out from our hotel in Darling Harbour.
The harbour is beautiful. There is a large pedestrian bridge connecting to downtown.
Easy to forget it’s Christmas here, because it’s so hot out!
Fin had a spontaneous barber shop visit.
The ferry to Taronga Zoo passes by the Sydney Opera House. The public transportation in Sydney incredible, with ferries and trains connecting everything.
Taronga Zoo is over 100 years old. In 1967 began a new emphasis on scientific conservation, education and preservation.
We are here to monkey around, naturally!
A koala photobombed Fin’s selfie.
The koalas were mostly sleeping but this one woke up for snack.
Sleepy koalas are still cute!
More sleeping! Koala life is pretty sweet.
The Australian fauna steal the show, but the zoo is home to some spectacular foliage as well.
Yes, that sleeping tiger is real. Shhh, don’t wake it up!
Oh yeah and there were giraffes!
And also elephants. Everything about the zoo blew us away, actually!
Heading back to the city after a packed first day, stoked for more Sydney adventures!
