Sydney Day 2

We wandered around Sydney in 42 degree heat 😅!

We had to hide indoors at various times to cool off.

We found this mall in Chinatown. Still getting used to the whole “hot Christmas” thing!
Wandering around Newtown we came upon this delightful Japanese-style ice cream shop called Sweet Lu
Dr Seuss-like truffula trees line the benches.
Fun right?
And there were big fluffy flowers
Ella was inspired
For lunch we visited the Potting Shed restaurant
Eating in a greenhouse, what a concept! Not the best on a 42 degree day though.
The food was very very good!
Sweating but happy.
The restaurant had a resident parrot named Fluffy.
Nearby there was a Christmas themed garden walk called The Grounds.

Next up, the Sydney Opera House!
Every part of the opera house was awe-inspiring.
We did a tour and learned about the incredible architecture.
The walls of the sails are covered by thousands of white tiles, designed to be cleaned naturally when it rains.
It’s truly an architectural marvel.
